William” Bill” Krumme, age 82, passed away at his home in Seymour on February 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on October 5, 1934 to Lawrence and Lucille (Bryan) Krumme.
On May 25, 1958 at Crothersville Baptist Church he married Nila A. (England) Krumme, and she survives.
A 1952 graduate of Shields High School, Bill went on to serve in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from a career in maintenance after working for Standard Oil Company, Amoco, and Silgan. He was a member of the American Legion, Seymour Elks Club, the Philippine Seas Company, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nila, his son: Tim (Debbie) Krumme, his two daughters: Kim (Randy) Medaris and Amy Jo Jones, and his sister: Mary Margret Krumme, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert D. Krumme.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday March 2, 2017 at 1:00pm with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with a full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Family and friends may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm and after 12 noon on Thursday until time of the service.
