Mr. William E. Brant Sr., 86, passed away Monday August 4, 2014 in Muncie IN.

Mr. Brant was born in Muncie, IN, on March 30, 1928, the son of Thomas Arthur and Margaret Lillian (Allison) Brant.

He married Edith (Hornback) Brant on September 7, 1974 in Seymour, IN. She precedes him.

Mr. Brant retired in 1979 from Conrail where he was a machinist. He served in the US Navy as a machinist mate – 3rd class during World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by 3 children; Deborah Brant, William E. Brant Jr. and William A. Brant; 16 grand children, and 13 great grandchildren; step children; Sherry (Larry) Bodkins, Judy Hazard, Ronda Hatfield and Larry L. Wariner; brother; David Brant.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday August 7, at 1pm.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Thursday the 7th before the service from 11am -1pm.
