William Richard Quillen, Sr., 94, of Seymour passed away on September 16, 2023, at Covered Bridge Health Campus. William was born on April 12, 1929, in Columbus, IN to Valentine and Lily (Reager) Quillen.  He was a long time resident of the Jonesville area.  William had worked in tool & die for Arvin Industries for over 30 years before his retirement.  He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene “The Point” in Seymour and was an avid coin collector.

William is survived by his son, Richard Quillen; grandchildren: Heath Quillen and Chaz Quillen; great grandchildren: Christopher, Sophia, Bonnie and Pixie; brother, Harry Quillen; sister, Linda Morris.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 69 years, Beatrice “Betty” Quillen, son, Larry Dean Quillen, daughter, Wanda Sue Quillen, and grandson, Christopher Shaun Quillen.

Funeral services for William will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Jonesville Christian Church.  Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
